About Orange County Diagnostics

Orange County Diagnostics has provided quality imaging, reporting and patient satisfaction since 2004. We are located in the cities of Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch and Laguna Woods. All sites are located on the ground floor with easy access and free parking. Our hours of operation are extended into the evenings as well as Saturdays. We are here to provide a pleasant, stress free environment and are open to any suggestions to help achieve this goal.

Our professional staff is dedicated to providing prompt, courteous service. The technologists performing the exams are trained, certified and licensed. The radiologists are board certified and subspecialty trained through fellowship programs in neuroradiology, abdominal, interventional and musculoskeletal imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Department is directed by a board certified nuclear medicine doctor. In addition to this highly skilled and qualified staff, Orange County Diagnostics is also affiliated with world renowned radiologists at the University of California, San Diego. All exams are promptly reviewed, interpreted, signed and faxed to your referring physician.

Our Radiologists

Seyed H. Shahrokni M.D.

As founder and medical director, Dr. Seyed Shahrokni brings compassion and expertise to Orange County Diagnostics. Dr. Shahrokni attended medical school at Tufts University in Boston and went on to complete his radiology residency at University of Southern California. He continued on to pursue his fellowship training at the University of California at San Diego where he specialized in interventional neuroradiology, under the direct supervision of Dr. Heselink and Dr. Wong. After completing his formal education, Dr. Seyed Shahrokni decided to join North Coast Radiology where he gained experience and knowledge while working in the field of outpatient radiology. Dr. Shahrokni is committed to providing quality imaging services and the highest level of care for his patients.

Madhavan Krishnan M.D.

Dr. Krishnan serves as a perfect compliment to our state of the art radiology services. His extensive training and background in abdominal imaging ensures our commitment to providing the utmost reading accuracy for our patients. Dr. Madhavan Krishnan attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency at the University of Arizona where he was Chief Resident. He continued on to pursue a fellowship in abdominal imaging and intervention at the University of California at Los Angeles, Department of Radiology. His experience as a staff radiologist at the Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital further serves as an added benefit for our patients, as it has provided Dr. Krishnan with the knowledge and skill for all kinds of medical cases in a constantly changing environment. His expertise will help complete the full range of radiology care necessary to keep our patients comfortable and satisfied.

David Hyun-Min Kim M.D.

Dr. Kim specializes in musculoskeletal and spine radiology and serves as the chief of musculoskeletal radiology. His particular area of interest is imaging of sports related injuries and image guided injections for pain management. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and completed his residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology at the University of Pittsburgh (imagers of the Pittsburgh Steelers) where he obtained specialty training in musculoskeletal and spine MRI and musculoskeletal intervention. He was then appointed to the faculty at the University of Southern California as a member of the musculoskeletal division in the department of Radiology, providing services to the top ranked USC football team. His subsequent work as a general radiologist for the past 2 years adds an excellent complement to his skills. He has published in national radiology journals and has presented at national meetings, garnering a cum laude award at the annual Radiological Society of North America meeting for his presentation on shoulder MRI. He is committed to the highest quality patient care and service to referring clinicians.

Jason B. Cohen, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Cohen is a subspecialized nuclear medicine physician dedicated to bringing state-of-the-art nuclear medicine and PET/CT services to Orange County Diagnostics. His extensive experience and passion for the field of nuclear medicine are reflected in the quality of his work and in the strength of the relationships he develops with his patients and referring physicians. He is well versed in all areas of general nuclear, SPECT, and PET/CT imaging, with particular interests in oncologic PET/CT, nuclear cardiology, and thyroid disease management.

Dr. Cohen attended medical school at the University of Michigan, and completed his residency in nuclear medicine at Stanford University. Previously, he has served as a staff physician and instructor at Stanford University Medical Center, a member of Radiological Associates of Sacramento, and a partner of Newport Harbor Radiology Associates (with whom he served as the director of nuclear medicine services for Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, CA). He also holds a Master’s degree in information science (medical informatics), and continues to actively pursue this interest. Dr. Cohen’s primary goal is to offer nuclear medicine and PET/CT services of unsurpassed quality in a friendly and comfortable setting.
